- Uterine fibroids
- Subserosal fibroids : Fibroids grow from the uterus outward to the abdominal cavity. Usually, the clinical symptoms are not obvious, and symptoms may not appear until they grow to a considerable size.
- Submucosal fibroids : Fibroids grow under the endometrium, with obvious clinical symptoms, the most common being increased menstrual blood volume.
- Intramyometrial fibroids : The most common form of fibroids, located within the muscle layer of the uterine wall.
